Project Description

The Hope for Young Women project in Santa María Chiquimula, has as its priority girls from 4th to 6th grade. TO 6º. Primary and young women. Its objective is to contribute to the creation of an environment that facilitates better work opportunities and knowledge to change the lives of young indigenous girls who work as domestic servants in Guatemala.

Among the main actions implemented by the project is a training program for young women, according to their interests and needs. In coordination with Intecap. Constant training for the reinforcement of girls who are currently studying 4th, 5th and 6th grade, as well as those who are not, in two separate groups.

Public events have been organized in favor of the rights of girls and young women. Forums have also been held to promote the rights of girls and young women with the participation of MINEDUC, the Municipality and related organizations.
