With the aim of developing a comprehensive psychosocial care strategy to address the impact of gender-based violence, various actions are carried out, including focus group interviews to learn about the intervention experience and the users’ needs. For this, we work with members of women’s organizations and with representatives of institutions that provide care to victims and survivors of gender-based violence.
This action is aimed at creating specific care strategies for the psychosocial field that promote the implementation of successful tools from different contexts and approaches.
We work in the departments of Retalhuleu, Suchitepéquez, and Escuintla, which are also the areas of intervention of the project “Strengthening the Rights and Economic Empowerment of Rural and Indigenous Women in the Southern Coast of Guatemala for a Life Free of Violence”, financed by the European Union and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).
